The first VR work of art in Slovakia is introduced by the artist Roman Galovský and the computer engineer Branislav Sobota.

The establishment of the Department of New Media at the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University.
2007
Košice IT Valley cluster is an essential step towards the cooperation between creative and IT sectors.
2010
The first edition of Nuit Blanche Festival in Košice as the biggest and most visited contemporary art festival in Slovakia.
2011
An international artist-in-residency-program KAIR for emerging artists out of all artistic disciplines was launched.
2012
Košice becomes the European Capital of Culture and experiences the peak of transformation from the industrial to the creative city.
2014
Beginning of the implementation of the Košice Culture Strategy 2014-2018.
