AV Performance, titled Three Shades of White, refers to an optical experiment of Sir Isaac Newton with the prism. He found out and proved that white colour does not exist as such; it’s the sum of the colors of the light spectrum – the rainbow. To the human eye, however, three colors- red, green, and blue – three shades of white are enough to make the ”white colour impression”. The work seeks to destabilize the ideas of racial and cultural purity, which are currently finding their supporters not only in Slovakia, but in response to the refugee “crisis” defacto all over Europe.
